Disconnect landscape lighting transformer that plug into the wall. Second, place black electric tape over the “eye” photo camera to cause landscape lights to come on to find the circuit that supplies power to a wired landscaping transformer. Switch off the switches inside the power box until the light is no longer burning. Place the power strip over the switch in “Off” mode to keep other people in your home from turning it on again. Third, loosen the pole screws at the bottom or back of the landscape lighting transformer that connects the low voltage cables to the transformer. Pull the cables from underneath the transformer connection screws. Fourth, loosen the pole screws at the bottom of the rear of the transformer that connects the photocell to the transformer.

Pull the three wires from below the pole screws on the transformer to connect the photoelectric cell. Fifth, disconnect the power to the landscape lighting transformer by connecting the transformer or turning off the switch. Unscrew hard-coded photocell from the body of the transformer. Last, pull the photocell from the body of the transformer to expose the wires. Twist the contactors that hold the two wires from the transformer to the two wires from the photocell. Twist one of the wire connections back on the two cables from the transformer to reconnect the circuit. Push the wires into the transformer and twist a weather plug in the opening.
